Designs, plans, and coordinateswork teams. Follows standard project management industry practices such as thePMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of a project andworks closely with project sponsor.
The required position is for aSenior Project Manager to lead multiple Information Technology (IT) projects insupport of the State of Michigan. As a member of the Project Management Office(PMO), the project manager will follow the State's SUITE methodology (andrequired deliverables), and utilize the State's Project and PortfolioManagement (PPM) too, to perform project planning through project closeout.
Advanced experience managingprograms of projects, complex projects or multiple projects. Demonstrated andadvanced understanding of project management methodologies.   Relieson experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
A significant degree ofcreativity and latitude is required.  Works under limited supervision withconsiderable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
